Since 1981, the Torroella de Montgrí Festival offers an outstanding programme of classical music. The competition, which began in the historical centre of the town, in the Church of San Genís, today has its main venue in the modern Espai Ter Auditorium Theatre and has held a total of 800 concerts over its 40 editions.
